Standing 89-1/2″ tall, weighing over 1000 lbs., and featuring a 27-1/2″ swing, this Heavy-Duty Gearhead Drill Press from Grizzly Industrial, Inc. is built for the most demanding jobs. The massive 6″ diameter column provides the necessary rigidity to ensure repeatable accuracy — even when drilling 1-1/2″ diameter holes at high speeds! The MT#4 spindle has 7″ of travel, 18 speeds from 60 – 1740 RPM, 2-speed automatic downfeed, power tapping with manual clutch, and a tooling ejection feature for fast bit changes. The cast iron table is nearly 2″ thick and features a unique 22″ x 19-1/16″ L-shaped work surface, five 5/8″ T-slots, and coolant drainage troughs. The maximum spindle-to-table distance is 30-3/4″, and if that’s not enough, the table rotates out of the way so that the workpiece can mount to the precision-ground base table using its two 5/8″ T-slots.
