TRUMPF’s flexible, productive fabricating technology at CMTS

CMTS booth 8216

At the Canadian Manufacturing Technology Show (CMTS), TRUMPF will showcase the latest advancements in fabricating technology, including the TruLaser 3030 fiber, TruPunch 3000, TruBend 5130 and 7036, TruMark 3020 and TRUMPF power tools. The machines will be on display in booth 8216, from September 30—October 3, 2013, at the International Centre in Toronto, ON.

TruLaser_3030_fiberTRULASER 3030 FIBER:
TRUMPF’s latest solid-state laser cutting machine, the TruLaser 3030 fiber, is a universal choice for high-quality laser processing across a wide range of material types and thicknesses. With three kilowatts of power, the laser cuts up to 3/4 inch mild steel, 5/8 inch stainless steel and aluminum, and 1/4 inch copper and brass. The machine is ideal for manufacturers cutting thin sheet metal, mild steel in all sheet thicknesses, non-ferrous or highly-reflective metals, or whose production volumes are served by a single machine.

TRUPUNCH 3000:
The TruPunch 3000 offers innovative and productive punching in a small footprint. The machine’s electric punching head is quiet and uses very little power in standby mode which makes it extremely energy-efficient. In addition, the TruPunch 3000 is exceptionally productive thanks to its high rotation speed when rotating tools or forming threads.

TRUBEND 5130 AND TRUBEND 7036:
The high-performance TruBend 5130 press brake with quick change tooling allows fabricators to bend a wide variety of parts simply and accurately. The optical LED positioning aid visually assists the operator, facilitating rapid set-up and bend sequencing while ACB, the patented measuring technique, ensures that bending angles are always precise.

The compact TruBend 7036 press brake is ideal for bending small parts up to 40 inches and applications where large, heavy press brakes are less efficient due to space and energy requirements. The machine is also extremely productive thanks to high-speed bending and acceleration rates. Known as the world’s most ergonomic press brake, it features an energy-efficient electric motor and is available with innovated options such as LED lighting to illuminate the work area with nominal heat and a laser light to project the bend line onto the surface of the sheet metal.

TRUMARK 3020:
With a 1064 nm wavelength, this solid-state laser achieves excellent marks on metal or plastics. Combined with excellent beam quality and remarkable peak power, the TruMark 3020 proves to be a flexible solution for a variety of laser marking applications. It is modular, compact, air-cooled and energy-efficient. The laser is easily integrated into existing production systems or combined with a TruMark workstation. At CMTS, the TruMark 3020 will be shown in a TruMark Station 5000 which features long traverse paths and high travel speeds in the linear axes, a powerful suction unit, and ergonomics designed for operator comfort and efficiency.

Completing TRUMPF’s line up at CMTS is the company’s line of portable power tools for cutting, fastening and beveling sheet metal.
