LK Metrology to Exhibit Scanning CMMS and Camio 8.5 CMM Software at 2019 EASTEC Show

LK Metrology, Inc. will display in Booth 3310 at the EASTEC Show two different Altera CMM models equipped with MODUS® software, one with Renishaw’s REVO-2 scanning system and multi-sensor technology. Also, LK’s latest version of Camio 8.5 software will be demonstrated. The EASTEC Show will be held May 14-16, 2019 at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts and is produced by SME and AMT.

The first CMM on display will be an Altera ‘S’ 8.7.6 CMM. The Altera ‘S’ is a multipurpose CMM with the most advanced capabilities in a compact CMM class. Innovative multi-sensor-ready technology allows the user to expand the capability to meet customer requirements without expensive controller updates.

The second CMM on display will be an Altera ‘M’ 10.10.8 CMM. The Altera range of CMMs is LK’s most configurable CMM platform available for quality and process control measurement. The Altera ‘M’ is designed for high-speed tactile probe scanning and laser scanning applications. It will be equipped with a Renishaw REVO-2 scanning probe.

The CAMIO software has become the “software of choice” for many of the world’s largest manufacturers because it allows the user to focus on accelerating lead times and improving product quality. Regardless of whether inspecting stamped, molded or machined parts, CAMIO 8.5 drives accurate and efficient inspection programs for geometric features along with full surface analysis with Part-to-CAD comparisons. CAMIO’s interoperability across CMM platforms, sensor technology and manufacturing sites becomes its unique advantage.

About LK Metrology

LK is the one of the world’s oldest manufacturers of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). Founded in Derby England 1963 by CMM pioneer, Norman Key and his father-in-law Jim Lowther, LK Metrology is credited with many of the CMM industry’s firsts including the first bridge-type design, first OEM to integrate computers, first to develop inspection software, first to use all air bearings and granite guideways, first to use carbon fiber composite spindles, first to use microprocessor-controlled drive systems, first to produce a truly thermally stable CMM and first to produce a high-accuracy horizontal spindle CMM. In 2018, ASI Metrology in Torino Italy, purchased all the CMM production, development, sales and services activities, including the CAMIO software from Nikon Metrology. A strategic partnership with Nikon Metrology continues as a Preferred CMM Sales Partner for LK CMMs. LK Metrology manufacturing continues to be located in Derby, England with Sales and Support offices in the UK, North America, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy and China.
