Focus at Wire Russia 2019: Digitalization of Wire & Cable Industry

With over 200 exhibitors and 2,400 visitors, wire Russia confirmed its status as the leading Russian trade fair for the wire and cable industry. Focus of the event was on digitalization, infrastructure and e-mobility of the sector which are driving the Russian economy, resulting in growing demand for wire, cables and accessories.

This year, wire Russia was held as a stand-alone event at Krasnaya Presnya in Moscow. At the last staging in 2017, wire Russia was held together with the Tube Russia, Metallurgy Russia and Litmash Russia trade fairs.

Organized by Messe Düsseldorf in cooperation with the local partners Joint-Stock Company VNIIKP and Messe Düsseldorf Moscow, wire Russia 2019 featured exhibitors from Russia and its neighboring countries as well as from Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Great Britain, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

Companies included past exhibitors as well as first time exhibitors. The majority was pleased with their participation and reported constructive conversations at the stands and the prospect of profitable post-show business.

The exhibitors presented innovative technologies covering the complete process chain of the wire and cable industry: machinery and equipment for wire production, wire finishing machinery, forming technology, cable and stranding machinery, process engineering tools and auxiliaries as well as measuring, control and automation technology. Rolled wire, blank wire, stanchions, special wires, cable and sheet metal complemented the ranges on display.

The next wire Russia will be held in Moscow in summer 2021.
