Ecoclean at PMTS in Cleveland, Ohio – trendsetting cleaning technology

Efficient and energy-saving parts cleaning and degreasing for all industry sectors

As an essential production step, component cleaning makes a significant contribution to product quality and added value in all industry sectors. The tasks involved have become much more diverse and challenging in recent years. For these many-faceted cleaning and degreasing applications, Ecoclean will provide information about its trendsetting product portfolio and its contract cleaning services at this year’s PMTS (Booth # 3047) in Cleveland (OH). From the comprehensive product range, the cost-efficient EcoCcompact, which represents a highly flexible machine family for solvent cleaning, and the modular ultrasonic cleaning system for manual workstations, UCMCombiLine, will be on display.

The range of cleaning applications and cleanliness requirements has never been as broad as today. The general industry, which encompasses a multitude of sectors, first and foremost presents a need for removing large amounts of chips and machining fluid. High technology industries such as semiconductors, medical, sensors and analytics are reliant on the efficient and dependable removal of ultrafine particulate contaminants up to the submicron range, and of residual film-type contamination, some of which have a thickness in the nanoscale. Between these extremes, there are countless cleaning tasks with product- and sector-specific cleanliness specifications, which have to be achieved in a stable, economical and sustainable manner.

The right solution for every cleaning task

The new UCMCombiLine, a modular ultrasonic cleaning machine, has been developed for manual workstations and low throughput. It is available in several sizes and equipped with an oscillation device for the cleaning basket.

As a full-range supplier of future-oriented, flexible, and energy-efficient solutions for industrial component cleaning, Ecoclean and UCM, the Group’s division specializing in precision and ultra-fine cleaning, cover the entire spectrum of wet-chemical processes. At PMTS, to be held at the Huntington Convention Center Cleveland, in Cleveland (OH), from 1 – 3 April, 2025, the company will be providing information about its trendsetting product portfolio at Booth # 3047. This includes a broad range of standardized machines and customized systems for cleaning with water-based media, solvents, and modified alcohols, as well as a wide variety of process technologies. As an example the cost-efficient, solvent-based EcoCcompact, which was recently expanded into a product family, will be on display. With various working chamber sizes and batch weights of up to 150 kg it enables the capacity and cleaning performance to be adapted precisely to company-specific requirements. The compact plug-and-play solvent cleaning system operates under full vacuum, which results in a closed loop system with virtually no emissions and allows to easily switch between hydrocarbons and modified alcohols (semi-polar solvents) as cleaning media. Sophisticated equipment details, an effective washing mechanism and high energy efficiency keep cleaning unit costs low.

Ecoclean will also be displaying the new UCMCombiLine, a modular ultrasonic cleaning system for low throughput. The machine for manual workstations is available in several sizes. Among others, it is equipped with an oscillation device for the cleaning basket which enhances the cleaning action of the ultrasound and improves the drip characteristics of the stainless steel basket.

Forward-looking service solutions are another focus at Ecoclean’s booth. These include an extensive contract cleaning service. In cooperation with the customer’s team the right machine for the cleaning task at hand will be determined based on the profile of the parts to be cleaned, the machining process and cleanliness specification. If required, cleanliness tests can also be performed at the facility. Moreover, tailored service and maintenance concepts for cleaning machines, developments regarding the automation and digitization of cleaning processes, options for modernizing and adapting systems, as well as training programs for customer employees will be on focus.
