Q: How would you describe your company’s primary business?
A: We are a solutions provider of both physical hardware and digital 3D data. Specifically, we have the capacity to provide digital 3D data in a variety of output requirements to satisfy both quality and engineering development. In harmony with our services, we are also distributors of a diverse product line that we use on a daily basis in our service division. This intimate knowledge of the equipment helps provide an in-depth experience when implementing a customer’s new hardware.
Q: In brief, what is your history with the company?
A: I have been here for nine years with a prior background in 3D scanning and 3D printing. Initially hired on as an application engineer and sales support, that position has evolved into the Division Manager position at our Brookfield, WI office.
Q: How has your company changed through the years?
A: We have seen continued growth in tandem with the technology. Our focus of staying ahead of the technology has allowed us to obtain great talent in our employees while maintaining efficiency, in turn, being cost effective to our customers. We also made great strides in our quality, and safety programs. We’ve placed safety ahead of everything else, we’ve become ISO and AS certified, ITAR registered, obtained FFL licenses and much more.
Q: What are interesting applications of your products?
A: Using our terrestrial LIDAR scanners to 3D map nuclear energy facilities to virtually plan out future retrofits, this saves amazing amounts of time, increases safety, has huge cost benefits to the customer and greatly decreases the amount of radiation exposure to the workers. Utilizing handheld scanners to map genetically deformed body parts for accurate, comfortable and functional prosthesis. Analyzing our CT X-Ray data to identify and locate micro cracks on critically functional medical parts.
Q: What critical issues do your clients rarely know they have or might encounter?
A: The correct path. The 3D scanning industry is driven by buzz words that often forces a client down an inefficient path. Our expertise helps educate them about alternate routes to their final goals.
Q: What drives customers to purchase your products or services?
A: The expertise and education we provide on the front end and the continued support beyond the completion of the job or hardware purchase. We strive to provide the best customer experience.
Q: In what ways can you help your customers overcome today’s manufacturing challenges?
A: Education. By assessing their needs, and actually listening, we can provide all the options they may need to be successful. Its multi-tiered. We can provide something as simple as a software training class all the way up to full software/hardware program implementation (turnkey).
Q: What are you excited to bring manufacturing professionals in 2019?
A: An extended reach, by opening another office in the southern part of the US. Texas is our focus now as we assess the market and we’re seeing that region would most benefit from our services. We are also working on our training programs to bring more content to our current, and growing customer base.
