Rounding out the new VersaHone family of honing products, Ohio Tool Works (OTW) has proudly introduced the VersaHone Horizontal Honing System.
With the goal of bringing OTW’s high standards for quality and durability to the entry-level honing market, the new horizontal platform was designed around the concept of versatility and ease of use.
Coupled with the new VHT Tooling System, the VersaHone Horizontal covers a complete range from 1.98-22.0”

• Robust rotary servo tool expansion through the spindle
• Uses standard Conventional vitrified and/or super abrasives
• Industry standard tool connection for quick change-overs
• Intuitive controls and very simple to maintain
The VersaHone Horizontal is ideal for a wide variety of honing applications which require low to moderate stock removal, such as hydraulic cylinder repair, gas meter runs, aerospace parts, plastic injection barrels rework, compressor components and many more.
The VersaHone Horizontal is designed around the use of OTW’s new VHT Tooling system, which has an inclusive range of 1.98” to 22.0” (50 to 560mm) I.D. based on a modular design. This allows for maximum versatility at a competitive price point. However, OTW’s proven MD tooling may be used on diameters up to 3.5” I.D. depending on the application. Tooling from many other manufacturers can be used as well, such as Sunnen MPS tooling, Barnes, General Hone, and various others.
