GROB Systems to Highlight Made in the U.S.A. Machine Tools and Automation Solutions at Westec

GROB Systems, Inc., a global leader in the development of manufacturing systems and machine tools, has announced it will be emphasizing its American built CNC machine tools and automation solutions at Westec Booth #2125 located at Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA from November 7-9, 2023. For over 30 years, GROB’s Bluffton, Ohio production plant has been manufacturing a wide range of 4- and 5-axis precision milling and mill/ turn machines, assembly lines and a growing breadth of automation solutions – all which are designed to their parent company’s stringent German quality standards. GROB provides service, parts, spindles, and engineering as well as produces the full GROB product line within its impressive 400,000 sq. ft. Ohio facility which has over 800 employees.

GROB machining centers are reliable and precise, offering high productivity in a range of sizes and configurations to meet diverse customer requirements. Providing a unique machine concept featuring a horizontal spindle position that permits the longest possible Z-travel path and optimum chip fall, the GROB 5-Axis Universal Machining Centers are offered for milling and mill/ turn applications for diverse industries such as aerospace, medical, mold/ die, automotive and more. The GROB Access Series, which is part of the Universal Machine Line, offers economy as well as fully featured 5-axis technology to meet demanding application requirements. GROB also manufactures heavy-duty 4-Axis Machining Centers for an ideal combination of stability, vibration damping and dynamics.

For increased productivity enabling unmanned operation, automation solutions are available for the entire GROB machine portfolio. GROB’s Automation Technology ranges from pallet and part handling/ storage systems to highly flexible, turnkey manufacturing lines. GROB customers see a big advantage in having the automation and machining center come from the same builder because it enables a better support model to keep the cell running at high efficiency long-term.

Attendees are also invited to inquire about the GROB Apprenticeship Program, critical to helping reduce the skilled labor shortage. GROB is dedicated to developing skilled employees, and offers a highly successful apprenticeship program — a four-year journey comprised of job-specific training, while also building a strong educational foundation. Apprentices get hands-on training and work alongside experienced technicians in the manufacturing and assembly areas to further develop their technical skills. The Apprenticeship Program has been very successful — over thirty percent of GROB’s current workforce in Bluffton is comprised of past or current apprentices.

About GROB Systems

For over 90 years, GROB has been known worldwide for the development and manufacturing of machines and production lines.
