St. Paul, Minnesota – August 25, 2011 -Cortec’s New VpCI®-380 is a fluoropolymer modified water based acrylic, designed specifically for the railway industry. Using a complex mixture of nontoxic, organic inhibitors VpCI®-380 can replace most primer and topcoat systems with corrosion protection in just one coat. VpCI®-380 is a flexible solution to use alone or in conjunction with Cortec® VpCI®-395 primer; applied by spray, flow coat, brush, or dip.
VpCI®-380 Railcar Coating adheres to a wide variety of substrates including ferrous and nonferrous metals and many engineered plastics; its hardness and moisture resistance make it an ideal air-dry/force-dry industrial coating. VpCI®-380 offers a non-flammable, UV resistant barrier from the elements with a fast-drying/high gloss finish. It also exhibits excellent outdoor performance, resisting chipping or cracking in prolonged exposure to sunlight.
