CNC Software, Inc. to Showcase Mastercam® 2019 at ACTE

Attendees at the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) 2018 will get to interact directly with the Educational team at the CNC Software / Mastercam booth (#625) at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, November 28-December 1. Mastercam skills are in greater demand than any other machining software. Empower your students with the cutting-edge skills they need for a real advantage in the job market.

ACTE is a national association representing thousands of career and technical education professionals, all working to make a real difference in students’ lives. ACTE provides educators with powerful resources, professional development, and information to help them achieve more. CNC Software is a software company headquartered in Tolland, Connecticut, developing manufacturing solutions and the world’s most widely used CAD/CAM software, Mastercam.

Mastercam CAD/CAM Software
Mastercam delivers a powerful set of industry-standard toolpaths and teaching aids to schools worldwide. The latest release, Mastercam 2019, helps increase machining productivity and reduces overall production costs with new 2D through multiaxis milling automation features, CAD and model preparation improvements, expanded 3D tooling, Accelerated Finishing™, and powerful turning and Mill-Turn enhancements.

This year, in the Mastercam booth, Verisurf will be demonstrating 3D measurement and digitizing solutions. Being coupled with Mastercam, Verisurf users can go directly from the digitized CAD model to CNC programming in Mastercam and never leave the unified environment.

Curriculum
Mastercam curriculum is available by both CNC Software, Inc. and outside sources. Why spend time creating materials when existing resources can be used to get a class up and running quickly and effortlessly. Visit the Mastercam booth to learn about our own Mastercam University™ which offers 24/7 online training to anyone looking to begin a career in CNC programming or to current Mastercam users with the desire to sharpen their job skills. Or, visit with representatives from camInstructor, who provide online courses, text books, videos, courseware, and training on Mastercam. Their online training package consists of over 200 hours of step-by-step videos covering the full Mastercam suite of products.

Competitions
Mastercam is dedicated to future generations of machinists and is a strong supporter of a number of motivational competitions for students. Mastercam’s Wildest Parts Competition challenges users to design and make something that is wild and original. Wildest Parts encourages users to break the mold, think outside the box, and cut outside the lines. Mastercam’s Masters of CAM campaign shares what others are doing with Mastercam. Upload a story, picture, or video of how you use Mastercam and win some great prizes.
