Casting Solutions to be Showcased at Cast Expo

Automator America will be showcasing their Casting Identification Solutions at the Cast Expo. Solutions include dot peen and laser marking systems for post casting identification requirements such as alpha/numeric characters and 2D bar codes for complete traceability. Also on display will be their impact presses equipped with specialized tooling package to mark variable data for pattern identification.

An Impact press, model MB21 with 3500 / 35 kg/KN impact force is equipped with a specialized tooling package consisting of steel type in a chase and a planishing block to strike the impression into 5-mil foil material with adhesive. The material is feed through the marking station with optional accessories to shear or rewind the material. are options. The programmable controls allow advancing the material, with options to upgrade with capabilities to adjust for spacing between legends that minimize waste of material, and the number of impressions to be made without operator interface.

The foil material comes with rugged adhesive for durability during the casting process. It is more pliable than other pattern identification materials, and can achieve an .030 embossed impression for a more pronounced cast in identification code.
