On Monday, July 15, 2013, TÜV Rheinland Sonovation will take part in a one-day Non-destructive Evaluation (NDE) Forum at the 2013 ASME Pressure Vessels & Piping (PVP) Conference in Paris. The Forum will provide a convenient opportunity for TÜV Rheinland Sonovation representatives to demonstrate their capabilities in different advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.
Special techniques and latest technology
Advanced NDT testing methods are applied in several industries around the world to determine and characterize the actual condition of equipment and detect damage early. In-service inspection of systems has become increasingly important as they offer a real competitive advantage in the reduction of production downtime.
TÜV Rheinland Sonovation’s unique high-temperature ultrasonic inspection technique has been developed over several years. Conference participants will have the opportunity to review several case studies featuring inspections at temperatures of up to 475 degrees Celsius. Conference participants will also have the chance to learn about special software solutions illustrated by examples of ultrasonic modeling and simulation of complex geometries in pressure vessels. TÜV Rheinland is accredited by ASME as an authorized inspection agency for boilers and pressure vessels and can support clients in gaining ASME certification for their equipment. In non-destructive testing, ASME certification services include quality control manuals, vendor evaluations and audits of ASME holders, owner certification programs and technical seminars.
