The IMTS 2014 Trade fair held in Chicago, Illinois in September was the place to be for the Manufacturing Industry and Turkish Machinery was there
Turkish Machinery is pleased to have co-sponsored MDA in conjunction with the 30th anniversary edition of the International Manufacturing and Technology Trade fair. IMTS 2014 was an enormous success and so was Turkish Machinery’s participation. Ferdi Murat GUL, Turkish Machinery’s Board member responsible for the US market, said of the event, “IMTS 2014 was the place to be in September and Turkish Machinery fulfilled its goal of expanding awareness about the quality as well as the recent technological advances in their machinery sector.” Turkish Machinery Group sponsored by the Machinery Exporters’ Union exhibited its best technologies and solutions for attendees. Over 114,000 industry professionals attended the event, creating the largest six day show in the fair’s history. There were over 2,035 exhibitors comprising both national and international companies presenting innovative manufacturing technology solutions that will continue to revolutionize the manufacturing world. Innovations such as digital data integration, automation/robotics, in-line quality assurance, additive manufacturing as well as traditional equipment all offer solutions to manufacturers who seek increased productivity and stream lined costs.
The inaugural Motion, Drive and Automation – MDA North America trade show introduced attendees to a range of motion control topics and one of the highlights of the show was the Turkish Machinery group promoting its machinery sector. Turkish Machinery maintained a highly visible presence throughout the event. Their logos were spread throughout the fair including at all charging stations ensuring that Turkish Machinery reached its targeted audience and achieved its goal. GUL said that “the venue provided Turkish Machinery with numerous successful networking meetings and business interviews including several potentially profitable, US partnership meetings.” He went on to say, “we came away from the show very optimistic and with a positive impression of the enormous potential that exists for a US –Turkey machinery and machine tool industry collaboration.”
Coming off of the positive reception they received, while in Chicago, Turkish Machinery took the opportunity to look into possible future US based office space venues, visiting such places as Elk Grove Village, a leading Mid-West Industrial center and one of the first US residential/business planned communities. GUL said of Elk Grove that, “it is considered a prime location for business and industry and is a potential fit for Turkish Machinery.” GUL went on further to say of the event, “tlhe show displayed a remarkable array of new and emerging technologies that will continue to revolutionize the manufacturing world and based upon the success Turkish Machinery had at IMTS 2014, it now plans to attend future trade events in the US”. While there, the group also visited additional trade fair venues such as the Wisconsin Development center and Merchandise Mart.
Turkey is now poised to enter the US market and ready to build an equally beneficial partnership. Significant cooperation opportunities now exist for the US and Turkey at this time. GUL said, “we believe that given our rapid growth, great potential now exists for the US market in terms of shared technology and joint projects in research and development, increased marketing opportunities, brand awareness as well as shared technical training and expertise.” GUL went on further to say that “given the warm welcome we received at IMTS 2014, and the improved mutual understanding and awareness that was built, Turkey is now poised to enter the US market… economic and commercial opportunities abound for both countries.”
