The new Walter online ‘catalog’ makes product search easier than ever

Users can also find product data, models, downloads and much more.

Walter has unveiled its new online catalog, giving customers product dimensional data such as diameter and length, as well as price, product availability, and more on its line-up of precision cutting tools. Walter has simplified its use by offering three ways of searching for products: Using the same structure as the Walter printed catalog; Using adaptable filter functions; and Using a full-text search.

The Walter online catalog has also been optimized for mobile devices.
All three search options have been optimized or supplemented with helpful features. For example, when searching for product, the user simply looks for the desired solution using the familiar structure of the printed Walter catalog. The filter search continuously drills down to the desired product, based on the number of filters selected. With the full-text search, users will be able to find needed products using descriptive terms such as “shoulder milling cutter” or product family codes like “F4042.”

In addition to product information, users receive a variety of additional information such as spare parts, associated products like inserts, and 2D drawings or 3D STEP models for their own CAD/CAM simulations.

Once a steel body is selected, the insert selection is filtered to only indexable inserts compatible with the tool body. Technical information, as well as data on spare parts and accessories is easily accessible. Users can view additional content on the Walter website such as video and press releases and, if required, complete an order via the Walter TOOLSHOP.

The “Goto Application” function is a powerful feature that provides users with application-specific cutting data for the selected tool by linking directly to the Walter GPS machining navigation system.
