Suzanne Spaulding, Former DHS Under Secretary, Joins Nozomi Networks

Former DHS cyber security leader becomes advisor to help drive education, innovation, and adoption of solutions that can protect critical infrastructure and industrial organizations from cyber threats.

Nozomi Networks Inc., the leader in industrial cyber security and operational visibility today announced that Suzanne Spaulding has joined the company as an advisor. The former Under Secretary of Homeland Security for cyber security and critical infrastructure protection will support Nozomi Networks’ efforts to educate and advocate for stronger cyber security across public and private sectors. Additionally, she will provide valuable insights to further expand adoption of the company’s solutions in the ICS cyber security space.

Spaulding brings more than 25 years of experience working on national security issues for both Republicans and Democrats. At the Department of Homeland Security, she managed a $3 billion budget and a workforce of 18,000 charged with strengthening cyber security and protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure. Throughout her career, she has advised CEOs, boards, and policymakers on complex security risks across all industry sectors. Under Secretary Spaulding has served in a variety of roles, including acting as general counsel for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and minority staff director for the U.S. House of Representatives Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

She is Senior Advisor for Homeland Security at the Center for Strategic and International Studies; a Member of the Aspen Institute’s Homeland Security Group; former Chair of the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Law and National Security; and founder of the Cybersecurity Legal Task Force. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for George Washington University’s Center for Cyber & Homeland Security and the Advisory Board of Harvard University’s Defending Digital Democracy project and is a member of the faculty of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Ms. Spaulding is a frequent commentator in public media, and often testified before Congress.
