SME Student Innovation Tour at WESTEC – September 12-14, 2017

SME is asking WESTEC exhibitors to show their support in the SME Student Innovation Tour student innovation, westec– The Time is Now!  Preparing our Workforce of the Future. Getting the next generation excited about careers in manufacturing is our responsibility – this newly revamped Student Innovation Tour at WESTEC does just that.

Students will take part in hands-on activities with the latest technology including robotics, design, machining, metrology, 3D printing and more. They are able to meet real people working in manufacturing and learn more about the challenging and lucrative careers available. The Rippl3D Rocket Challenge lets them design and test a rocket for distance and accuracy and compete for points.

Two ways to get involved:

  • Host small student groups at your booth for short informational sessions and/or demo regarding your products, process, and equipment
  • Exhibit in the Student Innovation Tour area with a secondary exhibit space designed for students

WESTEC is the ideal venue for your company to publicly demonstrate support for student activities leading to careers in manufacturing. This is an important connection between your company’s future and OUR future manufacturing workforce.
