To help develop and drive the North American sales strategy, Seco Tools has promoted David Sonner to be the new Eastern Zone Manager, effective beginning of May, 2020.
“Dave has a strong background in sales leadership prior to Seco and has demonstrated his ability to deliver results, drive change, and challenge the status quo over the past two years as Manager – Mid-Atlantic Region,” says Rob Keenan, President of Seco Tools, LLC.
His background as a journeyman machinist led him to 12 years of technical field sales experience, 10 years in industrial distribution, two years as an Operations Manager of a mid-size shop, and two and a half years as a Vice President of Sales at a large job shop.
“I am excited about being a part of the Seco Tools Sales Leadership Team and looking forward to improving our customer’s experience with Seco Tools,” says Sonner. “Our goal is to be “best in class” for our channel partners and end users.”
Sonner’s responsibilities as the Eastern Zone Manger include leading and coaching regional sales managers, utilizing sales and marketing analytics for staffing and territory alignment, maximizing engagement and sales with channel partners, and personal development in the role. His strong leadership and organizational skills, along with not having a fear of change, allows Sonner to best support the North American sales efforts of Seco Tools.
Dave and his wife Linda are active members in their church and are passionate about volunteering for non-profit organizations. They have family in LA, and they find themselves traveling there several times a year. Dave is an avid cyclist who also finds a way to run a few 5K’s each year. He enjoys skiing, riding motorcycles, playing guitar, and ping pong.
