Daniel Cooper Promoted to General Manager of Operations
Spectronics Corporation has announced the promotion of Daniel Cooper to the position of General Manager of Operations. In his new role, Dan will be developing and implementing strategies and goals for the company.
Dan started his career at Spectronics ten years ago as a temporary employee in the Quality Control Department, eventually moving on to Production Coordinator and Marketing Coordinator positions. In recent years, he helped to grow the Industrial and Aviation markets as a Sales Account Manager. Dan’s involvement in varied aspects of the company makes him a perfect fit for General Manager of Operations.
Working towards improving all internal processes, Dan will oversee prototype design, research & development, marketing and customer satisfaction. He will also be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Spectronics’ state-of-the-art products, and making sure they are shipped out in a timely manner. Dan will not only be product focused, but employee focused as well. He will be instrumental in maintaining a culture of teamwork throughout the company. “We are only as good as the people who work here,” states Dan.
Dan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Loyola University and resides in New York City.

Michael Fleming Promoted to Director of Product Management
Spectronics Corporation has announced the promotion of Michael C. Fleming to the position of Director of Product Management.
Mike joined Spectronics 19 years ago as a Sales Application Engineer for the AC&R and Pipe Freezer divisions, eventually moving on to Product Manager and National Sales Manager. He was then given the additional responsibility for also being the National Sales Manager of the AC&R, Automotive, Industrial, Aviation and the Pipe Freezer divisions.
Before joining Spectronics, he worked in the research and engineering labs of both Pall Corporation and Knogo North America.
In his new position, Mike will be in overall charge of product management ─ improving, researching and innovating new products. His work will include bringing all products to the next level, incorporating UV LED technology with more features and benefits. He’ll also be responsible for developing new markets for all the Spectroline® and Tracerline® products.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Physics from the State University of New York College at Geneseo.

Limin Chen Promoted to V.P. of Manufacturing
Spectronics Corporation has announced the promotion of Limin Chen to the position of Vice President of Manufacturing and Special Projects.
Limin began his career at Spectronics in 1993 as a Mechanical Product Development Engineer, and has been the lead engineer for the Pipe Freezer, UV EPROM/Wafer Eraser and Grid Lamp products for more than ten years. He has also worked on fluorescent leak detection products and been involved in other areas as well.
Before joining Spectronics, Limin worked as a Product Development Engineer at the Shanghai General Machinery Corporation for 8 years. He holds an Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
As part of his duties, Limin will direct and guide Spectronics’ manufacturing/engineering team in establishing procedures and all required documents in the manufacturing process from start to finish. The team will also supply the production department with the proper tools, equipment and machines needed to fulfill orders on a timely basis, produce products of the highest quality, and monitor ongoing productivity improvements.
In addition, Limin will direct and guide Spectronics’ plant engineering team, which is responsible for the overall maintenance of the manufacturing facility.
