Liquid temperature control leader MOKON celebrates 60 years of success
Mokon, a leading manufacturer of circulating liquid temperature control systems, is poised to celebrate a landmark 60th anniversary in 2015.
“We have built our business on design, quality and customization,” Rob Kennery, Mokon General Manager says. “We built our business on a better understanding of the marketplace and our close relationship with our customers. We really get to know their application and what they’re looking for in a thermal fluid solution.”
Born in Buffalo
Mokon was founded in 1955 in Buffalo, New York – where it remains today – with the introduction of its first water temperature control system for the plastics industry.
In the ensuing years, Mokon branched into design and manufacture of hot oil heat transfer systems, portable and central chillers, pump tanks, blown film coolers, power and control panels, a variety of maintenance products and custom-designed engineered systems.
“We have aggressively expanded our product line and focused on quality and design,” Kennery notes. “Our custom capabilities, technical support and depth of our product lines have evolved greatly over the past 60-years. We are now known as a premier company in this industry.”
Custom work a key to success
Customization is a key differentiator for Mokon. While growing into industries as diverse as aerospace, automotive, composites, food processing, pharmaceutical, plastics, and semiconductor technology, among several others, the ability of Mokon’s engineers to create unique solutions for every situation and scenario has bolstered the company’s reputation and growth.
“Customization gives us a competitive advantage,” Kennery says. “We have thrived on the ability to design and deliver custom equipment in a timely fashion while maintaining a competitive cost. We excel in personalized product and design.”
Eyes on the future
While the 60th anniversary is sweet, Mokon’s vision is set clearly on the future.
“Moving forward, we would like to improve in every aspect of our business,” Kennery says. “We envision ourselves continuing our double digit growth, developing our processes to foster continuous quality improvement and building our customer base. We plan to be a leader in liquid temperature control products for another 60 years”
