Messe Düsseldorf will be the new organizer of Saw EXPO, the special-interest trade fair for the sawing sector, to be held in Friedrichshafen, Germany every two years. “With this move Messe Düsseldorf will take over the trade fair for sawing and industrial cutting as manufacturing technologies, which perfectly fits in with our growing Metals and Flow Technologies portfolio,” stated Friedrich-Georg Kehrer, Global Portfolio Director at Messe Düsseldorf.
From June 8 – 11, 2021 Saw EXPO will be held at the Exhibition Center in Friedrichshafen, Germany for the first time. “This is an ideal destination since many producers come from the South of Germany and the neighboring countries of Switzerland, Austria and Italy,” explained Daniel Ryfisch, Deputy Director of the Global Portfolio Metals and Flow Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf.
In even years, Saw EXPO will be held as part of the Tube trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany – starting in 2020. It will be organized in form of a special pavilion for sawing and cutting in Hall 6 of the Düsseldorf fairgrounds. Tube will take place from March 30 – April 3, 2020. Saw EXPO will also be featured at Tube China 2020 in Shanghai (September 23 – 26).
Sawing, slitting and industrial cutting are indispensable to many manufacturing processes but they play an especially prominent role in tube technology. Saw EXPO will cover all forms of cutting and sawing regardless of the materials: tubes made of various steel, aluminum, iron and non-ferrous metals as well as plastics, wood and composites .
Stefan Motte (initiator and owner of the portals “Sägebörse” (Sawing Exchange) and “Sägemanagement” (Sawing Management) decided to cooperate with Messe Düsseldorf based on their expertise of trade show management both in Germany and abroad. With Stefan Motte, the trade fair organizer has a proven expert at its side, with several decades of expertise in the sawing industry and who will continue to support Saw EXPO with his know-how and industry knowledge.
At Saw EXPO in June 2021 in Friedrichshafen, manufacturers of sawing machinery and alternative cutting technologies, sawing tools, trowel systems, deburring machines, suppliers, manufacturers of accessories and consumables, peripheral machines and systems as well as service providers are expected. Contract sawmills, used machinery, associations, publishers and science/research will complete the product range.
On the visitor side the trade fair addresses the users of sawing and cutting processes – on a regional, national and international level from the following sectors: metal working, metal processing, steel trade, mechanical engineering, automotive, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, pipe industry, recycling, fenestration, warehousing and logistics companies.
