Mazak Corporation, a Penske Racing technical sponsor, offered cheers and congratulations for Penske Racing Team driver Kurt Busch on his first-place win of the “AAA 400” at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware. The win bumps Busch up five spots to fourth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup points standing with seven races remaining to determine the 2011 series champion.
Busch powered his No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Dodge Charger over the finish line 0.908 seconds faster than Jimmie Johnson, taking the lead from the five-time and defending series champion. Buschʼs last victory at the one-mile high-banked concrete Dover track was back in 2000.
Penske Racing uses Mazak machines to manufacture various critical car components and maintains that “the team couldnʼt do what it does on the racetrack without Mazak machine tool technology.”
Mazak has been a proud Penske Racing sponsor since 1994, and the Mazak logo can be seen on all of the teamʼs IndyCar winglets, as well as on the NASCAR Series cars.
