LION subsidiary LVI and MESA International are pleased to announce that Andrew T (Terry) Smith, LVI Senior Vice President, will present at MESA’s 2011 North American Conference. The 2011 MESA Conference, held Sept. 19 to 21 at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld, revolves around the highly topical theme “Cloudy with a Chance for Profits”. This year’s agenda showcases real-world examples of how companies are cutting through the clutter and achieving real-time operations excellence.
Terry’s presentation is from 11 AM to Noon on Wednesday, September 21. Terry will discuss the approach LVI used to reinvent its supply chain to achieve “Best of Breed” capabilities. The results changed LVI’s competitive position in the marketplace by dramatically increasing throughput, decreasing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction. The changes were so effective that LVI was recently named Progressive Manufacture of the Year for 2011 by Manufacturing Enterprise Communications, a division of Thomas Publishing and publishers of Managing Automation Magazine.
“In order to remain competitive in the global economy, manufacturers need to improve productivity and drive profitability,” says John Southcott, chair, MESA International. “The North American Conference provides a platform for the discussion, collaboration and insight necessary to improve operations management and succeed in this rapidly changing economy.”
