Design-2-Part Trade Shows Returns with Three Successful Events

Design-2-Part Shows (D2P), America’s largest design and contract manufacturing trade shows, has returned to running live in- person events. So far this year, they have successfully completed three shows with limited restrictions in Atlanta (GA), Grapevine (TX), and Uncasville (CT), resulting in higher than expected attendance.

According to Jerry Schmidt, President of Design-2-Part Shows, “We felt the time was right to return to live trade shows, and our customers were anxious to be back offering their contract manufacturing services to OEMs.” said Jerry Schmidt, President of Design-2-Part Shows. “With so many manufacturers and OEMs still restricting vendor visits, the demand for a safe and controlled face-to-face sales environment was at an all-time high.”
Atlanta kicked off D2P’s return in late May at the Cobb Galleria Centre. OEMs quickly showed they were ready to conduct business as the show floor was packed with over 1,000 qualified attendees. The Texas show held on June 9 & 10, drew 1,504 OEM engineers and buyers, the second highest number of attendees ever for a Southwest D2P show. Last week, the momentum continued with 1,514 attendees and over 225 exhibiting companies at the Uncasville, CT show held at Mohegan Sun.

D2P will wrap up their Spring/Summer show season in Schaumburg, IL on August 4 & 5. Jerry Schmidt added “Schaumburg is one of our anchor shows, so we are looking forward to returning to such a critical manufacturing market. Exhibit space is in high demand this year and is selling out quickly”.

Following the Schaumburg show and a short break, Design-2-Part returns with a full slate of shows in the Fall: Marlborough (MA); Akron (OH); Oaks (PA); Indianapolis (IN); and Raleigh (NC).

D2P Shows provides U.S. manufacturers an efficient opportunity to meet local and national job shops and contract manufacturers. This allows face-to-face to source custom parts, components, services, and design. Exhibiting companies showcase their design-through-manufacturing services, featuring more than 300 product categories for the metal, plastics, rubber, and electronics industries.
