On Wednesday, September 13, 2017, as part of the national Women in Manufacturing Summit, CNC Software, Inc., hosted a Women in Manufacturing Lunch & Learn Panel Discussion and tour of their Corporate Office in Tolland, CT. Women from across the country were able to see where the world’s leading CAD/CAM software, Mastercam, is created and learned how it is used by thousands of companies worldwide to manufacture products that we see and use every day.
The day kicked off at 10:00 AM with a presentation from CNC Software President, Meghan West. Attendees got to see the Mastercam Manufacturing Lab (machine shop) in action. This is where CNC Software Application Engineers test out Mastercam toolpaths each and every day. Attendees saw parts being cut and learned how automated software is solving today’s production and manufacturing issues. The tour of the Corporate Headquarters included the Manufacturing Lab, museum, and a glimpse at the environmental practices that are used to lessen the company’s impact on the environment.
The tour concluded with a Lunch and Learn Panel Discussion, where participants networked with industry peers and shared leadership, experiences, and knowledge as they shape the future of manufacturing today. The panel consisted of CNC Software employees, women business owners in the industry, as well as Connecticut State Representative, Liz Linehan.
