Women in Manufacturing® Education Foundation and SME Partner to Produce Virtual Career Fair Event Will Connect Manufacturing Employers with Job Seekers

The Women in Manufacturing® Education Foundation (WiMEF) and SME are partnering to produce a virtual career fair on February 6, 2025.

Now in its fifth year, the career fair connects motivated job seekers with companies that lead with diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in their corporate culture.

With SME’s support as a key partner, the WiMEF Virtual Career Fair provides manufacturing employers with a convenient, virtual platform to connect directly with skilled job seekers from across the country. Employers host customized booths, conduct one-on-one interviews, and search and download resumes from qualified candidates.

Expected job candidates include college graduates, young professionals, seasoned managers, and skilled tradespeople from a multitude of manufacturing fields. All job seekers are welcome to participate and registration is free.

“We are thrilled to continue our strong partnership with SME on the WiMEF Virtual Career Fair,” said Gretchen Moore, executive director of the WiMEF. “Together, we are creating opportunities for talented women to connect with manufacturing companies that are committed to fostering diversity, innovation, and career growth in the industry.”

The nonprofit partner to the Women in Manufacturing Association, the WiM Education Foundation is building a skilled, diverse, and resilient manufacturing workforce where women achieve, lead, and succeed. The WiMEF provides women with valuable connections, access to career pathways, and best-in-class programming at all stages of their manufacturing careers.

“SME, a non-profit association committed to promoting manufacturing technology, developing a skilled workforce and connecting the industry is proud to partner with the WiMEF to support the recruitment of talented professionals through the Virtual Career Fair,” said Sheronda L. Carr, vice president of membership at SME. “This collaboration reflects our dedication to empowering women and advancing their contributions within the manufacturing industry.”

Established in 1932 as a nonprofit, SME represents the North American manufacturing industry and is dedicated to accelerating the widespread adoption of manufacturing technologies and building the industry’s talent and capabilities.
