Christopher Wargo has been named as product manager for standalone TruBend machines at TRUMPF Inc.’s North American headquarters in Farmington, Connecticut. In his new role, Wargo will oversee the day-to-day activities of the in-house sales engineers and applications team supporting TRUMPF’s bending machines. He will also provide technical expertise and assist customers in maximizing the productivity of their press brakes.
As part of the bending applications team for more than seven years, Wargo has built up technical expertise of the operation and programming of entire TruBend portfolio, including standalone machines, robotic bend cells, and Smart Factory solutions such as Oseon. Wargo began his career at TRUMPF in 2015 as a punching machine application engineer before moving to the TruBend team the following year. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Roger Williams University.
Wargo takes over responsibility for the standalone TruBend machines from Roger Michaud, who will focus exclusively on TRUMPF’s line of TruPunch and combination punch-laser products. Franziska Maschowski, as TRUMPF Inc. head of Smart Factory applications & bend automation, will continue to manage TRUMPF’s automated bending cell product line and be responsible for the TruBend Cell products.
Wargo will report directly to TRUMPF Inc. Executive Vice President Burke Doar. “We are excited to promote Chris Wargo to his new role at TRUMPF,” says Doar. “With his proven experience, deeply technical bending knowledge, and excellent working relationships with customers, sales partners, applications engineers and other colleagues, Wargo is well suited to leading the standalone press brake product group in North America.”
