Top metalforming industry suppliers will showcase their capabilities and present the latest technologies to manufacturers at the PMA West Michigan Suppliers Night on September 27, 2022, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. The event, hosted by the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) West Michigan District, will be held at The Pinnacle Center, 3330 Highland Drive, Hudsonville, MI.
PMA’s suppliers night offers the perfect environment for manufacturers to connect with suppliers and service providers to stamping, fabricating, spinning, slide forming and roll forming companies in the region. More than 200 suppliers and manufacturers are expected to attend. Registration is free for attendees and is open now. Suppliers who are interested in participating can sign up here.
“We are very excited to host our 2022 Suppliers Night at The Pinnacle Center and look to build on the momentum from last year’s event at the same venue, which was filled to capacity with vendors and attendees,” said PMA West Michigan Program Chair Andrew Galardi, senior vice president, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Grand Rapids, MI. “A primary goal of this event is to raise awareness of the thriving West Michigan metalforming community, with leading companies showcasing their products and services to industry professionals as well as to individuals looking to enter the industry.”
The Suppliers Night also offers participants an opportunity to learn more about PMA and the West Michigan District’s efforts to educate the next generation of industry talent. The district, in partnership with the PMA Educational Foundation, awarded $5,500 in scholarships this spring to individuals seeking careers in the metalforming industry.
“Our West Michigan District recently provided scholarships to four individuals from the region who are pursuing manufacturing careers through enrolling in courses or participating in apprenticeship programs,” said PMA West Michigan District Chair Jeff Umlor, director of business development, Walker Tool & Die, Inc., Grand Rapids, MI. “We are thrilled to help support the up-and-coming talent in our industry by raising funds at district events such as our suppliers nights and golf outings.”
The district plans to continue to provide scholarships that help attract the next generation of workers in order to ensure that manufacturing continues to thrive in the region. Applications for the fall scholarship program are open and due by October 1, 2022. Information about the program and the application form are available on the PMA Educational Foundation webpage.
The PMA West Michigan District officers invite metalforming professionals and all others interested in supporting the industry to attend the suppliers night on September 27. For more information, visit the event webpage or e-mail pmawestmichigan@pma.org.
