It is with heavy hearts that the PEARL Board of Directors has decided to postpone the 2020 PEARL Annual Conference & Expo, scheduled to take place April 2-4, in Las Vegas.
From the beginning, our decision to hold our flagship conference was based on advice from local and national health officials (including the CDC) and whether we could provide a truly safe environment in light of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) recently being deemed a global pandemic. The high-traffic location, given the large crowds that Las Vegas attracts outside of attendees, was a major factor in the decision process.
Please be assured that plans are underway to reschedule our event for late summer/early fall. At this time, we ask for your patience and support as we work through these details. In the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to your transportation providers and take advantage of their extended change and cancellation policies. We also ask that you do not contact the Suncoast Resort and Spa as it relates to your lodging until further notice.
We realize that many will be disappointed and inconvenienced by this announcement, but we believe it is the right decision.
Thank you for your continued enthusiasm for our Annual Conference. It is this invaluable support that allows our conference to be successful and keep growing year after year.
We look forward to seeing you later this year.
Sincerely and in good health,
Dan Hook | Pearl President & Camden Spiller | 2020 Convention Chair
