Colson Caster Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of standard and custom application caster and wheel products, has made a $3,000 donation to help support its regional Special Olympics Team. This is the 6th year that the company has contributed to and assisted its local chapter of the international organization.
“This is one of our favorite activities,” said Don Laux, President and General Manager for Colson. “In addition to the monetary donation, we also have employee volunteers who assist the organization in various capacities. It is a fun and very compelling venture for everyone involved.”
This year’s Special Olympics team from Northeast Arkansas traveled to the Arkansas Special Olympics Summer Games held in May at Harding University and returned home after earning more than 100 medals. The Summer Games had 2,000 competing Special Olympians and the athletic competitions included 18 track events and six field events, as well as the Pentathlon.
Colson has been in business for more than 125 years, and is headquartered in Northeast Arkansas. Today, the company manufactures and globally markets more than 35,000 fully-tested caster and wheel products.
