Removes Tramp Iron and Ferrous Fines from Flow-Resistant Bulk Materials
Bunting® Magnetics Co.–producer of precision magnetic products for the worldwide recycling, food, printing, automobile, plastics, and electronics industries–has introduced a new self-cleaning plate housing magnet. The new product will be used in the grain and milling industries, as well as many other industries with dry material processes. The first public showing of the product will be in Booth 1613 at the Grain Elevator and Processing Society show in Omaha, Nebraska, February 23-26, 2014.
Bunting Product Manager Rick Bigham, discussing the new self-cleaning plate housing magnet line, said: “The new Bunting self-cleaning plate housing magnet incorporates powerful rare earth magnets to reliably and consistently remove metal from flow-resistant materials. We expect it to be a great solution for free-flowing materials as well, particularly many abrasive products. The design of the new Bunting self-cleaning plate housing magnet makes it particularly applicable to hard-to-flow products with high moisture, oil, or fat content. Because the new magnets are automatically self-cleaning, they can be equipped with control packages and installed in hard-to-reach locations where access may be difficult.”
