PFERD INC to Host Manufacturing Day 2016
On October 7th PFERD INC, the Milwaukee-based manufacturer of premium brushes, abrasives and power tools will host Manufacturing Day, showcasing the value, intricacy, and essential “coolness” of modern manufacturing.
PFERD INC, a global leader in the manufacture of premium quality brushes, abrasives and power tools, will host a Manufacturing Day event on October 7, 2016 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. at its Milwaukee facility located at 9201 W. Heather Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53224.
Manufacturing Day is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers. Although Manufacturing Day officially occurs on the first Friday in October—any day can be a Manufacturing Day.
“Manufacturing Day addresses common misperceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is — and what it isn’t,” says Gene Huegin, president, “It’s PFERD’s chance to positively influence students and those around us to the importance and value of manufacturing.”
Open to middle, high and technical schools, PFERD will showcase the work of its manufacturing plant as well as its other operations such as finance, research and development, marketing and sales which all play an integral part in the entire manufacturing process.
