Ribbon Cutting For New 80,000 square foot Houston Storage Facility For MEI Rigging and Crating, Hosted by Houston North Chamber
MEI Rigging & Crating is expanding their commitment to the greater Houston market with a new 80,000 square foot storage and crating facility. The brand new building, with over 100,000 square feet of secured storage (including gated outdoor storage), was officially introduced into the Houston community with a ribbon cutting ceremony through the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce, followed by an MEI open house.
The 10+ acre site is located within the Kennedy Greens South Business Park in North Houston near the George Bush International Airport. The new facility includes secure indoor storage space as well as fenced outdoor area. Six freight docks, large ground level doors, and a very large paved yard will support MEI’s rapidly expanding Rigging & Crating operations in the greater Houston area.
They are using the expanded interior space for storage, staging and crate assembly. The larger yard enables more deliveries, outdoor storage and expanded facilities for packing and crating of air and ocean freight, as well as other large items for export. The new facility features advanced security, including secure indoor storage space for warehoused equipment, and a fenced outdoor area with security cameras.
“The ribbon cutting really showcased what MEI Rigging and Crating is capable of,” says Barbara Thomason, President of The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce, “and this facility is a wonderful improvement of convenience and safety for their customers equipment.”
