Bosch Rexroth’s Nexo Nutrunner Provides Advanced Wireless Technology in a Production Grade Tightening Solution

Rexroth’s Nexo features the latest high-end intelligent tightening technology within a cordless tool that can handle up to 255 different programs

Combining economical operation and safety critical tightening capability, Bosch Rexroth’s Nexo nutrunner can handle the most demanding applications and is suitable for both large and small scale production. Its decentralized intelligence is located directly onboard the tool which enables operation without cable connections or the need for an external controller. By integrating the control of the tightening process, the highest level of reliability is possible – even in wireless dead zones.

The Nexo is durable enough to handle demanding applications such as safety critical use within the automotive industry, yet still accurate enough to safely fulfill sensitive battery cell production. Furthermore, the device’s intelligent design can utilize product variables such as a serial number to determine which unique tightening process/recipe to execute based on the model or product variant.

Users also benefit from simple integration into their existing WiFi network, enabling an easy wireless transfer of tightening results to their servers. The cordless design provides an easy to use, ergonomic solution with a high degree of mobility for use in areas where traditional cabled or air technology is not possible. The integrated high-quality digital sensors for torque and angle provide excellent accuracy, repeatability, durability, and process documenation – no external sensors or hardware required.

Nexo now offers up to 100 Nm maximum torque and a max speed of 880 rpm. All versions are available with a browser-based operating system and an optional barcode scanner. All Nexo are capable of class A tightening (safety critical) in accordance with VDI/VDE2862 and supports both 2.4 and 5 GHz WIFI networks.  Click HERE for more information.
