FIPA Presents: All EOAT Components in a Single Catalog

Informative and clear: Gripper components and complete gripper systems

It belongs on the desk of every automation expert. FIPA offers a comprehensive compendium of gripper technology in its new End-of-Arm-Tooling (EOAT) catalog GR07. According to Rainer Mehrer, President of FIPA, “the entire competence of FIPA is now available in two catalogs in combination with the Vacuum Technology Catalog VT01, published last year”.

The new EOAT Catalog at a glance:

  • Complete gripper portfolio:
All FIPA grippers and gripper components in a single catalog
  • New gripper components:
Profile connectors, angle arms, grippers with HNBR rubberized gripper pliers, quick-change-systems, sensors, and much more
  • Clear structure:
Navigation-friendly register for rapid access to the information you are looking for
  • Sector-spanning products:
Selection of frequently used pneumatic, vacuum and linear technology components

The new EOAT Catalog contains around 50 percent more products than its predecessor and has 472 pages and 12 chapters. Automation experts, project planners, and purchasers are provided with detailed technical information about the entire FIPA gripper product spectrum. The technical content is shown vividly using full color illustrations throughout, diagrams, design drawings, and clear tables.

fipa Catalog CoverGripper systems offered in three options
FIPA gripper system technology extends from individual gripper components to complete systems. Our customers can select from the three options offered in gripper assembly. In option 1, customers benefit from the high levels of FIPA technological consultation knowledge and order the components required from the catalog. The planning and installation of the gripper is carried out by the customer itself. In option 2, FIPA carries out the planning of the gripper and the delivery of the gripper components. The customer installs the gripper on site using the detailed FIPA installation instructions. In option 3, FIPA provides planning, installation, and delivery of the complete gripper. The gripper only needs fine adjustment on site.

Basic components for gripper assembly
Significant basic components for gripper assembly are available, with new gripper components such as connecting elements, angle arms for integration of gripper components, and a wide range of vacuum suction cups for the plastics industry. Alongside extrusion-based systems, we also present plate-based systems based on aluminum and carbon fiber panels for lightweight solutions. Polyamide-laserforming technology permits economical realization of individual customer grippers in batch sizes of one.

For the second time in just a few years, FIPA is once again the first to offer a sprue gripper with an elastomer covering. While the predecessor model was outstanding as a result of HBNR coating on the internal surface of the jaws, the new Series 100 pliers are now provided with HBNR coating on the four sides of the jaws. This not only provides very soft gripping, but also reliably prevents scratching the surface of the workpiece by the sprue gripper itself. This effectively minimizes scrap production, which may be caused by the gripper inadvertently touching the workpiece. The gripper’s design is registered.

Other innovations are the Series 840 power grippers with lift, with their very high gripping force for gripping flat sprues or straps. These are characterized by separate feed and back lifts. While the feed stroke facilitates the precise positional approach to the workpiece, the back stroke achieves problem-free removal of the gripper tools, and thus facilitates secure placing of even very large components.

We round off the gripper catalog with a selection of vacuum suction cups that are specially adapted for injection-molding unloading, peripheral components such as hoses and screwed connections, and linear technology such as short-stroke cylinders and guide blocks.
