29th Edition of Machinery’s Handbook Launched

New York, January 23, 2012 ― Industrial Press, America’s oldest continuous publisher of technical titles for manufacturing science and technology, has launched the 29th Edition of Machinery’s Handbook (MH). First published in 1914, MH is widely considered to be “the bible of the mechanical industries” throughout the world.

Senior Editor Christopher J. McCauley said “The 29th edition brings together volumes of information and data gathered, revised and improved upon by experts throughout manufacturing. It’s extraordinarily comprehensive yet easy to use. MH provides mechanical and manufacturing engineers, designers, draftsmen, toolmakers and machinists with a broad range of material from basic to highly advanced.”

Extensive Updates and 90 New Pages At ~2,800 pages, the 29th edition includes 90 new pages since the prior edition. It is offered in a Toolbox Edition as well as Large Print and CD-ROM editions. New content includes the following:

• Micromachining section

• Shaft alignment
• Ttaps and tapping
• Helical coil screw thread inserts
• Solid geometry
• Differentiating bolts and screws
