ESAB Sponsors New Four Wheeler Off-Road Show Featuring Ian Johnson

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products announced that it is sponsoring Ian Johnson’s new off-road program, Four Wheeler, which debuts September 27 on MotorTrend TV. The show will feature Johnson’s hardcore off-road fabrication projects, as well as ESAB welding and cutting products.

“In the 10-episode run planned for 2019, we’ll be doing a full tube-chassis build, some travel adventure builds, a lot of rock bouncing, trail riding and hardcore off-roading, and we’ll dip our toe into razors and side-by-sides,” says Johnson. A life-long off-roader, Johnson currently produces the digital show, Big Tire Garage, from his shop in Spring Hill, Tenn. Four Wheeler will also shoot at this shop, with motorsports show veteran Brenton Productions (Two Guys GarageTruck U, Car Fix) handling the production.

As the exclusive welding and cutting equipment supplier for Four Wheeler, a variety of ESAB products will be featured throughout the season in restoration and customization projects. Johnson will demonstrate his expertise using the Rebel™ 205 AC/DC (especially for AC TIG aluminum), Rebel 285 (more power for thicker sections), the Thermal Dynamics® Cutmaster® 60i plasma cutter and Victor® gas equipment. Each show is geared to viewers serious about working on their off-road vehicles.

“If you’re doing an off-road show, there’s going to be a whole lot welding and cutting in it,” says Johnson. “Many times, the first thing we do when we get a vehicle is cut it in half to stretch the frame, and of course we bounce them, break them and show you how to fix them.”

Steven W. Molenda, Director of Global MarComm and Marketing Strategies, ESAB, says that, “We’re excited to support Ian and Four Wheeler. At the professional and enthusiast level, off-roading is high-use market for fabrication and repair equipment, so we think it’s a perfect venue for ESAB. Our equipment covers the entire spectrum of user needs.”
