LPW’s Upgraded PowderRange AM Capabilities Unveiled at AM Americas

LPW Technology Inc. will be showcasing its comprehensive series of PowderRange AM metal powders and an exciting new alloy addition at its debut at AM Americas in Pasadena, CA this week.

LPW focuses on materials to drive improved performance in the AM process.  At booth 229, it will present both its PowderRange series of AM metal powders, and PowderLife, the AM suite of powders, products and solutions designed to support AM in production. LPW has recently signed an agreement with AIRBUS APWORKS to add high-performance Scalmalloy® aluminium-magnesium-scandium alloy to its extensive portfolio of premium metal powders for safety-critical sectors.  The LPW team will also take the opportunity to launch the upgraded series of AM metal powder reconditioning and analysis services it provides from its new, larger facility near Pittsburgh, PA.

“We have a great deal to showcase at AMA,” says John Hunter, General Manager of LPW Technology Inc.  “We’ve expanded our US operations into a purpose-designed facility that enables us to increase our analytical and reconditioning capabilities, supporting our customers to optimize their AM powder usage.  We have space for parallel reconditioning LPW, PowderRange, AM Americaslines of sieves and blenders to process powders and recertify them to the original specifications.  Our new, larger laboratory has state-of-the-art equipment, allowing us to offer a broader range of tests and analysis.

“At AM Americas we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to booth 229 and discussing how LPW’s pioneering PowderRange and PowderLife products and services can add value to their AM processes.”

PowderRange premium, off-the-shelf metal powders are supplied to quality management standards AS 9120 and ISO 9001 in the US, and dispatched within 24 hours of receipt of order.  Every PowderRange powder is shipped with a test certificate, adding assurance that the consistency and specification have been checked and confirmed in LPW’s certified laboratories.

PowderLife is now available to support AM industrialization: AM metal powders are tailored to individual customer specifications with hardware and software solutions to deliver material traceability and control through repeated builds.
